Toddler - Turtle Rock Classroom
17 to 33 months

I’m a big kid now! And, while you can’t believe your child has graduated to the title of toddler, they are pretty sure they can, “do it myself.” One, two, three go! Is the name of the game in the toddler room. These little tykes need lots of space to run, play and explore in a safe environment with age appropriate activities. They are learning to climb, jump, and parallel play with friends, while learning to share, color, paint, give big hugs and wash their hands.

Some toddler fun:

  • Music class with Mrs. Jean
  • Singing and dancing
  • Sign language
  • The gym/playground
  • Art
  • Talking, talking and more talking
  • Puzzles
  • Sensory play
  • Lots of story reading
  • Big hugs
  • Lots of lap time

The toddler room offers your child the opportunity to explore everything and more. We sing, dance, talk, play on the playground and in the gym. We sit at tables with tiny toddler chairs for breakfast, lunch and snack. We use sippy cups, plates and spoons and learn to wash our hands when we’re done. We learn to go potty and work on dressing ourselves. We snuggle up with our favorite blanket or pal, turn on the soft music and take a nap from 1:00-3:00. We do all of this with encouragement, redirection and gentle reminders of how we treat friends. We keep them entertained, learning and most of all safe, loved and well cared for.
